Bristol City Council is consulting on new Bristol Local Plan 2045. This is part of the Government’s new planning regulations which came into force in March 2026. Taken from the BCC’s information on the consultation, this plan will guide how development across Bristol will be shaped. It will set out details on where new homes, jobs community facilities and associated infrastructure is located. Included in the plan will be policies to ensure any development contributes to building communities, creating vibrant places, and responding to the climate and nature crises.
